Elemental Media

About the Project

Elemental Media is an interactive installation that explores the relationship between digital media and natural elements. The project transforms a backyard space into an immersive environment where visitors can interact with digital projections that respond to their movements and environmental conditions.

Using a combination of sensors, cameras, and custom software, Elemental Media creates a responsive ecosystem where digital content behaves according to principles inspired by natural phenomena. Wind patterns influence particle systems, temperature affects color palettes, and human movement triggers ripple effects throughout the projected landscape.

The installation features multiple projection zones that transform the physical space into a canvas for digital art. Each zone represents a different elemental theme—earth, water, air, and fire—with unique interactive behaviors and visual aesthetics. As visitors move through the space, they become active participants in shaping the digital environment, blurring the boundaries between the natural and the virtual.
